Walk description
From the car park we pass beneath the Derwent Dam then make our way along the Upper Derwent Reservoir before the uphill climb to the Lost Lad cairn then the trig point at Back Tor. From here we walk along the flagstones of Derwent Edge, stopping for a moment to admire the unusual rock formations, including ‘cakes of bread’ and ‘wheel stones’, before heading back downhill to Ladybower Reservoir and one final loop past the Derwent Dam.

Parking: Derwent Overlook Car Park, Derwent Lane, Ashopton. This car park is free and therefore busy. Early arrival is advised. Additional paid parking available at Fairholmes.
