The walk starts with a steep climb up Eyam Edge before following the more gentle paths along the western edge of Eyam Moor. From here the route goes down to Stoke Ford, then climbs steadily up and across Abney Moor, from where there are magnificent views, and our probable lunch stop. The return route takes in Great Hucklow, Grindlow and then the pretty village of Foolow (several stiles on this stretch, but a lot of them the squeeze type).
