Walk description
Leaving Eyam we visit Mompesson’s Well on the village boundary, where food was left for the villagers during the Plague. Taking a woodland path and a short stretch of road walking we then cross the busy A623, climb a disused quarry track which leads us to delightful Coombs Dale. After walking down the dale and crossing fields we arrive in Stoney Middleton, with its ancient church, and then up and across fields back to Eyam.
This is an 8 mile walk.
