Walk description
Leaving the Dog & Partridge we have a short road section before following Swinden Lane, through woods and along Langsett Bank to Langsett Reservoir. We then follow a track beside the water and through Crookland Wood to follow the course of the Little Don River upstream to Hordron Clough. We then ascend over the moor to follow Hordron Road (a track) back to the starting point.
This is a moderate walk of 7 miles, mostly along grassy paths and wide forest tracks. Some short sections of path by the river can be boggy after rain and Hordron Road is a stony uneven surface.
