Walk description

We start from the RSPB free car park at Old Moor RSPB and walk along a quiet part of the Trans Pennine Trail to Manvers Lake where there is a café and refreshments, we will take a short break here. From there we carry on good paths to reach Adwick Washland RSPB where I saw Polchard, Wigeon, Egrets and numerous other waterfowl on my recee. There are also reports of a Long Eared Owl been seen here. Lunch will be taken here. We continue on the banks of the river Dearne and back onto a quiet section of the TPT back to Old Moor.

This is very flat walk with a total ascent of only 364ft for the whole walk. Paths are generally very good throughout the walk with some puddles and mud in places which are all easily bypassed. 2 easy stiles to negotiate.
