Walk description
Starting from New Road, walking along Loxley Road to reach Stacey Bank. Turning down Stacey Bank we cross a bridge over the River Loxley, passing Loxley Fisheries. We then take the path along Roe Gate up along Sykehouse Brook to enter Green Fold Wood. Passing through the wood we reach Dungworth Green, then take the path to Yews Lane and the Royal Hotel.
We follow Yews Lane to reach Ringwood Lane where we enter open fields to reach Sidling Hollow passing Sidling Plantation. We turn right at Hall Broom wood to Rickettsia Bank. Crossing the road we then take the path down through Ughill Woods to cross Ughill Brook.
We then follow the path up, before turning towards Woodhouse Farm. Turning into the farm we find a number of farming artefacts on display, we then skirt round the farm and entire fields before reaching Oaks Lane and Oaks Farm, we follow the road back to Damflask and return to our start point.
This is approximately a 5 mile walk, and should take roughly 3 hours with lunch break.
