Walk description
We start in Thurlstone at the Crystal Palace car park, and proceed up High Bank Lane to the established viewpoint at the top of Royd’s Moor, where the 360 degree views are well worth the climb.
From there we proceed west on paths through woods and across fields in the direction of Flash House Farm, before crossing the B6106 heading down past Catshaw to Bullhouse Mill where we plan to stop for lunch next to the River Don.
After lunch we travel to Ecklands and join the Trans Pennine Trail, before making our way down the steps and across the River Don back to our start point, Crystal Palace, where the “debrief” takes place.
