View of Chee Dale and the River Wye
Chee Dale and the River Wye, Derbyshire
Date: Sunday, 16th July 2023
Start time: 10:00
Grade: Moderate
Distance: 9.0 miles
Walk description

From the car park, we drop down into Wye Dale for a short walk along the river before a steady climb through Deep Dale and then on the Midshires Way to Chelmorton. We then follow the Limestone Way to Millers Dale, and then follow the River Wye back to the car park.

This walk shadows the Monsal Trail along the River Wye and has plenty to see for nature lovers and a bit of excitement crossing the famous Chee Dale stepping stones. If the Chee Dale stones are in flood, then the walk will divert via the Monsal Trail.
