Walk description
From the Crown and Cushion we walk up through Foxfield Woods then fields to Elliot Lane. Here we drop down to Green Lane and follow tracks to the edge of Grenoside. From here we climb quite steeply through Greno and Wheata Woods before reaching Greno Knoll trig point, the highest point of the walk at 1000 ft. At Greno Knoll we take a well earned break before our descent through the woods and on to the end of the walk.
Due to the nature of the terrain on the walk there are no suitable places to sit for a break but we will stop with enough time to have a drink and something to eat at Greno Knoll.

Meeting point: Crown and Cushion, 1 Chapel Road, Chapeltown, South Yorkshire.
Parking: On-road parking on Chapel Road, near to the Crown and Cushion. Please park with consideration to local residents.
