Leaving Fox House, we take the path onto Burbage Edge which is a long and fairly gentle incline leading to Burbage Bridge. Here we cross over the road, making our way up onto Stanage Edge close to the Trig Point, where hopefully weather permitting, we should start enjoy the stunning views. Approximately half way along the edge we drop down through the plantation to take the lower path back along the base of the edge. Hopefully here we should have good a view of the climbers on this world famous crag. We cross back over the road, making the short ascent onto Higger Tor from where we follow the path down to the Surprise View Car Park. We cross the A6187 onto Lawrence Field and the path down Padley Gorge to the bridge at the bottom. Here we cross and make the ascent back up to the ice cream van. We enter the Longshaw Estate for our path back to Fox House and our cars.
