Walk description
Starting from the Barrel Inn, we briefly walk along Sir William Hill before turning off left along tracks and paths down the side of Bretton Clough eventually reaching Stoke Ford. From there we head up the other side of the valley to Oaks Farm after which we follow a path along the edge of moorland until we reach Wolf’s Pit. We then go along a track which turns into Brough Lane before turning left to cross Abney Moor. When we reach the other side of Abney Moor, we descend again into Bretton Clough making our way down the valley until a final ascent takes us back to the Barrel Inn. There are a few stiles and a short section on a quiet road. There are a few options of places to stop for lunch depending on progress.

Meeting point: Outside the Barrel Inn, Sir William Hill Road, Foolow, Derbyshire.
Parking: On-road near the Barrel Inn, Sir William Hill Road, Foolow, Derbyshire. Please do not park in the Barrel Inn car park or in their parking area on the opposite side of the road to the pub. Please park with consideration to pedestrians and other road users.
