Walk description

Starting from Mytham Bridge we walk up into Bamford village, pass Bamford Mill and walk upto Thornhill. Turning at Thornhill we cross Bamford Wreck where there are toilets. Crossing the A6187 to Shatton we ascend to Offerton Hall by footpaths and quiet country roads then descend down to the Plough Inn at Leadmill just outside Hathersage. Picking up a footpath which leads us into the centre of Hathersage village where there are refreshments and toilets, we cross over the road and climb upto Nether Hurst and walk on a quiet road at the side of Sickleholme Golf Course then descending via Saltergate Lane to our start point.

The walk takes us on quiet tracks and footpaths. It also contains pavement walking at Bamford and Hathersage.

Approximately 4 hours including lunch stop.
