Two leisurely walks have been designed to suit all abilities and both leave from the Cow and Calf Hotel which overlooks Ilkley and the River Wharfe. Following the same direction on well-trod paths throughout, individuals can decide en route whether to take the 4.0 miles (shorter) path or to continue with the 8 miles. Ilkley Moor has a very gradual incline from the start, with only a 59ft difference between the shorter and longer routes. Either way, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of Ilkley and, on the longer route, the towns of Keighley and Bingley in the Airedale Valley.
Both walks end in Ilkley town centre where the coach will pick us up at 17:00.
Walk 1 (shorter) approximately 2 hours including 20+ min break
Walk 2 (longer) approximately 4 hours including 20+ min break
Both groups will walk 2 miles together to the Twelve Apostles Stone Circle, where individuals can decide which way to continue.
