Walk description
From the bandstand we leave the village and follow a narrow path over fields with ever more extensive views of the area around Ashford and make our way on up to Monsal Head. From here, we descend to Monsal Dale crossing the River Wye to follow a path alongside the river and through the dale. Crossing the A6 we have a short ascent to Great Shacklow Wood followed by a gentle descent back to Ashford.
