View of Dale Dike Reservoir
Dale Dike Reservoir, Bradfield, South Yorkshire
Date: Thursday, 14th April 2022
Start time: 10:00
Grade: Moderate
Distance: 6.5 miles
Walk description

This walk of 6.5 miles starts in Low Bradfield (550ft) and is steadily uphill for the first two miles as we follow paths beside Agden Reservoir to Wilkin Hill (957ft) for good views of the local countryside – Bradfield Dale. We descend to Dale Dike Reservoir and follow a shoreline path to join up with the path through Andrew Wood, (lunch stop weather permitting). The hard work is done as we descend Blindside Lane, to follow field paths back to Low Bradfield.

There are about 10-12 stiles including 2 strong ladder stiles with a platform. Around the reservoirs there are prominent tree roots and mud for short distances. There is also walking on quiet roads and grassy tracks.
